Trichloracetic Acid is the primary ingredient in the Obagi Blue Peel.Noticeable peeling will be realized, with some down-time that will vary from client-to-client, dependent upon your skin type.

Our TCA Home Peels are excellent for softening deeper wrinkling,
reducing/removing less severe facial lines, improving sun damage, fading hyperpigmentation (freckles, "age" spots), reducing scars (not keloid scarring, however), reducing acneic conditions with/without scarring, reducing and/or completely removing upper lip lines.  Improved skin coloration/brightness will be seen after peeling, with a fresh, more refined texture to the skin.

***TCA peels typically tighten the skin and provide a lifting effect.

***Begin with our 12.5% peel if you haven't used TCA's previously.  Once you have become accustomed to using TCA's at home...and should you feel you need to use a stronger percentage...graduate-up to the 15% or 18%.

21% should *only* be used by clients who have tolerated the 18% very well.  21% is *very* strong and not for the beginning/novice TCA user.

A TCA peel of 12%, 15%, 18% or 21%, performed at a doctor's office,would cost at  *least* $500 for one treatment.

Purity and Formulation:

Makeup Artist's Choice TCA's are formulated in carefully controlled FDA registered facilities with Reagent Grade (ACS) ingredients, medical grade. Reagent grade is the highest purity level obtainable. The American Chemical Society (ACS) establishes the laboratory standards for all Regent grade chemicals.

Please be cautious when purchasing online peels.

We use only FDA registered laboratory facilities to ensure the highest purity medical grade and professional formulations.  Beware of TCA "homegrown" concoctions being offered on eBay and sub-standard websites.  Some websites boast personal licensing in the skin care field and the qualifications of their "chemist."

Others offer rock-bottom pricing.  There's a reason for this.....their products have *not* been formulated in registered, quality-controlled FDA Lab facilities.  Quality-control ensures the purity and safety of the product.  FDA Lab Registered facilities are monitored (unannounced visits by FDA reps), and must adhere to strict GMP (good manufacturing practices).  FDA Lab formulated products ensure you are getting products handled by certified chemists, working in quality-controlled laboratory facilities registered with the FDA.  Our lab is FDA and EPA registered, certified for GMP. FDA lab formulated products come with certifications that are kept on-file for proof of formulation. That's your guarantee the product advertised is indeed what you are receiving.

Pre-Peel:

Using alpha hydroxy products for a week prior to your TCA peel....glycolic acid, mandelic acid, lactic acid.... will help to "prime" the skin for the TCA.  Do not, however, use an alpha hydroxy acid.....nor any other acid.....on the same day as your TCA peel. While priming the skin isn't an absolute prerequisite, it may help you to realize a more productive peeling experience.  If you are planning to use our stronger TCA peeling products at a later time, prime your skin with our Retinol or Alpha Hydroxy Peels (glycolic, lactic, mandelic).

If you are using this peel primarily for hyper pigmentation issues, use our 40% Lactic Acid Peel, along our Fade Serum for 2-3 weeks pre-peel.  Use the peel once weekly and the serum twice a day.

Cautions:

  • Do not use this product if you are currently using Accutane,
or have used Accutane anytime within the last 24 months, as scarring may result.
  • Darker skin tones should avoid TCA peels above 15%.  Darkening of the skin could occur.  Alternative peels are available.  Please ask us for guidance, and we will help you choose the best peel.
  • Do not use a TCA peel if you have herpes simplex.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant.
  • Do not use if you are lactating.
  • Do not use if you tend to keloid.
  • Do not use if you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.
  • Do not use if you are HIV positive or have AIDS.
  • Don't apply the TCA to areas where you have used hair removal products, have shaved, or used granular exfoliation products or buffing pads for several days pre-peel.  We need non-irritated skin for best results.
  • Discontinue acid-based products, retinoids, acne skin products, granular products, and other exfoliators for 48 hours before peel application and 2 weeks post-peel.

What You'll Need To Provide:

  • Petroleum jelly, an anti-biotic ointment, and an anti-itch cream.  Vaseline (petroleum jelly), Bacitracin or Neosporin (anti-bacterial creams) and Lanacaine or Cortaid (anti-itch) are recommended.
  • An accurate kitchen timer.
  • Q-tips or cotton pads, or gauze pads for applying the peel to skin.  Use the implement with which you are most comfortable.

How Long Will My Results Last?

--Several months for most clients.
--Using glycolic or lactic acid peels on a weekly basis will help to maintain your results longer.

Frequency Of Use (these are general guidelines for the majority of clients):

Most clients using the 12.5% TCA will need to do a series of 2-3 peels, spaced about 2-3 weeks apart to realize optimal results.  Subsequently, use the peel every 60-90 days.  Light flaking or peeling for most.

Clients using the 15%, 18% and 21% strengths will realize more pronounced results and may need to do only 1 treatment.  Subsequently, use the peel every 60-90 days.

  • 12.5% is a light peel
  • 15% is a light-medium peel
  • 18% is a medium peel
  • 21% is a medium-strong peel and should be used ONLY by clients who have tolerated the 18% with no problems.
  • 24% is a strong peel
  • 30% should *never* be used at full strength... use our dilution recipes to create varying peel strengths for versatility

If you are unsure where to begin, it's always a good idea to begin with the lightest strength.  We offer you a step-up program for safe usage.

Do NOT begin with the 18% or 21% TCA unless you have used 15% several times successfully.  18% and 21% are much more aggressive peels and should not be applied to skin untested by TCA's previously.

TCA peel
I have had 4 TCA peels in my life all which have been over 12.5% and performed by a doctor. I have had it one so many times I was confident in doing it to myself. Make no mistake, you will look terrible for 10 days and you have to stay away from the sun. I'm not fair or light by any means btw and its not a tan. I'm just darker NC 45. As long as you stay out of the sun and use sunscreen there should be no issues. I did just one layer and felt nothing but saw mild results. I waited two weeks to do it again and layered up. It was no where near as strong as the 20-30% peels I have had but it peeled a lot and my skin looked awful as it was peeling. The skin under though is amazing and still is. I'm 35 and still get carded everywhere. TCA is the way to go. Yes its awful for 10 days but its worth it too look over a decade younger than what I am .

Love Makeup Artists Choice
I can not believed a salon/spa charged me $560.00 per peel (sad thing is I had multiple peels - man do I feel stupid for wasting my hard earned money) and here at Makeup Artists I purchased enough to do ten peels for $17.00. The procedures, products, and results were identical to the peels I had in the salon/spa. Love love love Makeup Artists Choice.

Easy, Painless, Annoying but Effective
I had been using the highest level Lactic Acid Peels for about 6 months, but wanted more drastic results for fine lines and hyperpigmentation. I opted for the 12.5% and just went for it. I didn't hurt any more than the Lactic peels, probably less. More in a sunburn way, not the needling feeling of the LA peel. I left on for 5 minutes, didn't really feel or see anything so I added a 2nd application. I started frosting on my forehead and sides of nose. After 10 minutes total I neutralized and rinsed. Face was tender, but nothing exciting. I applied antibiotic ointment for the next 2 days, washed gently, no makeup. I just felt tight. Day 3-4 were itchy and I started to see super crepey skin, but nothing terrible. Day 5 the flaking began. I didn't peel in sheets, just flaked around the nose and mouth and then things got super annoying because days 5-8 were a flake fest. I didn't wear anything but eye makeup and kept my skin as hydrated as possible and didn't pull at or scratch the skin. I was beginning to feel disappointed because I wanted more drastic peeling, not little flakes and it seemed like I might never get it all off. Around day 10 the flaky skin was almost gone. I noticed a few prominent brown spots were lessened, my pores looked non existent, and the new skin was more smooth but I still wanted more improvement. Looking back I could have gone straight to 15%, but since I have this whole kit I'll keep using it until I get the results I need.

12.5% TCA Peel
I love this peel! It is the first one that I tried. Whenever I feel like my skin needs a little pick me up I pull it out. I have tried several of Makeup Artists Choice peels and still experimenting. I guess when I have achieved my final final results I will be a brand new woman! As a woman of mixed race (African American and Native American) I have been plagued by acne and combination skin. As a teenager of course I picked my skin which left marks on my skin, as well as the pick/pock mark that are not overly attrative. In my mid-50's I am trying to get the skin I had when I was born with but never took care of. Thank god for makeup artist choice!

Love TCA Peels!
I have been using MUAC's peels for several years and they are just as effective and high quality as if you were to go to a professional medical office for a chemical peel treatment. I love the 12.5% TCA Peel as there isn't a lot of down time and the results are amazing: smooth & brighter skin, faded discolorations, fights acne breakouts and smaller pores. The first day of this peel, my skin is very tight and smooth, and just slightly red. 2nd day skin is tighter, red and the "peelies". The peelies cointinue on to day 5 and by day 6, my skin has recovered and looks amazing. Having gone to a professional office for treatments that cost hundreds of dollars, I am so glad there is MUAC to provide the option of doing a chemical peel in the convenience of your home that is affordable and provides the same great results. I highly recommend!

I adore this peel. I use it a couple of times a week followed by Retin A. The next morning I apply my Neostrata 10% glycolic acid cream. The result? Skin that is smooth as glass! I can't stop running a finger across my face, it's so smooth. I also use the micropolish which seems to do a fantastic job of removing any dead skin resulting in my face absolutely glowing! I experience very little peeling at this percentage of TCA. When I use a higher level then there is definitely peeling but this seems to smooth things out beautifully without peeling. Love this and love MUAC! They have excellent customer service, fantastic prices, extremely fast shipping and my skin has never glowed like this before!

Satisfied customer
After a lot of hesitation I purchased the 12.5 TCA peel. I've had a TCA peel around my eyes by a plastic surgeon. It was quite strong and was done under anesthesia. Anyway, I just did one layer of this because I don't want to take any chances. The reason I wanted to do the peel was because my skin was not feeling baby smooth like it normally does. I just didn't have the time to deal with going to my plastic surgeon. It took quiet long for it to start peeling, about 12 days. Never large pieces just apparently some skin would come off as I gently wash my face. When it was finally finished peeling, my skin again feels smooth like a baby's bottom. I will probably do two layers next time try to get it to frost but I am very pleased with my results so far. I used Aquaphor after the Peel for seven days because that's how long I used it when I had it done at the plastic surgeon. I didn't want to take any chances. After I discontinued the Aquaphor I used my La Mer moisturizing cream.

Good Starter
My main concern was continual small outbreaks and hperpigmentation, both of which responded incredibly well to the TCA + Mandelic Acid. I also have some pitted scarring from old cystic acne which I plan to address with a future 2-layer application of a stronger TCA peel.

This peel worked wonderfully. I started off by applying one layer and proceeded to rinse off after 5 minutes. I did not peel this time. Two weeks later I applied 2 layers, and I did peel a few days after. I believe I did not peel the first time because I use a strong retin a and also a 8% glycolic acid daily. Please use caution using this even at low levels to not harm skin.

Used For Dark Spots
I used this product a couple of times for my dark spots on my face. It is effective in peeling off the old dark skin and reveal newer fresher skin. My dark spots became much less obvious now. I plan to do another one maybe in a month. This is a very powerful solution. Anybody using it for the first time should be extremely careful. I had what they call "frosting" both times using it. Then I had to stop and neutralize it immediately. Fortunately, everything turns out to be OK. I like my skin again now.

Scared at first PLEASED with results!
I have to admit that this peel scared me mainly because I know that TCA peels are peels that dermatologists use and I am definitely not a dermatologist. However, MUAC, as always, includes very detailed instructions to use with all of their peels. If you misplace your instructions, you can always come to the website and the instructions are there as well. I am a peel freak and think I own just about every peel MUAC offers in some concentration. This is one of my favorite peels as I love that it produces visible peeling. It works wonders on pores and I have used it with success for sun damage and mild hormonal acne. If you've never done a peel, I recommend either starting with only one layer (MUAC instructions discuss this) or trying a lactic peel first. Go ahead and order this because you will LOVE it and wish you'd have ordered it once you get those "first peel jitters" behind you. I have melasma and have done a few laser treatments for it and they are great, but there is significant down time. This peel is awesome to use in between the laser sessions and my aesthetician has been converted from the brand she used to use to MUAC's peels! I love that this is a spa/dermatologist level peel that I can do in my bathroom at home.

My first time experience
This product is very good but does little frost. This was my first time using tca peels so I tried this low dosage. I did flake tremendously all over. It helped lighten a lot of my scars but not what I was expecting. It does sting but nothing you can't handle. Iam now trying the 15% tca peel and doing two layers with that and hopefully get some frosting, more peeling, and more dramatic results. Overall this is a great product to use because it does help reduce or eliminate dark spots.

Very nice
Well, being a 49 year old lady it was time IMO to do something to improve my skin. Went on the internet and did a lot of investigation, and ended up buying TCA peels in different strengths from MUAC. The order process was flawless, it was shipped very fast. product arrived in good order with clear instructions from MUAC. I decided to start immediately with the 12,5% TCA peel. It was easy to do, only thing is that i spilled everything that was left after my first use because the bottle is so small and has a big opening. While applying it I went back to the bottle to put a bit more on and topped it over. So no more for me, and i decided to leave it as it is. Left it on for 5 minutes as per instructions and then neutralized. No frosting. I started peeling nicely on day 3 and I am done only since yesterday, so 9 days of peeling in total. Peeling was quite bad on my chin and around my mouth, the rest of my face peeled later and less visible. I am very very happy with the results ! My pores are smaller, and I really believe that the lines around my lips are less visible. My skin looks fresh and dewy. Really very nice ! I plan to do a 15% peel in a couple of weeks.

Did Not Work For Me
Hate to leave a bad review because I LOVE this site and the other products, but unfortunately this peel did nothing for me. Zero. Zilch. I followed the directions to a tee...nine days later and I didn't peel, not even a little. It's funny because I actually purchased my first bottle a few years ago, but was too chicken to try it. I decided to repurchase it again a few weeks ago (after having success with the lactic acid peels) and then nothing happened. ****MUAC Comment: River, thank you for your feedback. Great instructions - worked great!
I did the TCA peel 10 days ago - I followed the instructions and it worked better than expected! I have very sensitive skin and the 12.5% was a great starting point. My skin peeled on schedule and by the 7th day it looked great. I still have some redness, but nothing scary. Will do again in 6 weeks!

12.5% TCA Peel
I have done TCA peels in the past for my hyperpigmentation but I had them done professionally. I wanted to start trying them at home as I have spent thousands of dollars dealing with this issue. I have never done this on my own so I started at the beginning with the 12.5% just to be safe. It was easy to follow instructions. I did see a little peeling but not much. I will purchase the 15% next although I think my skin can move to the 18% but I will move on gradually just to be safe. So far I am happy with the product.

Do Not Reccomend
First, let me start by sharing my skin type. I have oily, acne prone skin with a lot of scarring around my jaw and chin. I purchased this item in hopes of lightening the acne scars. When I received the item I followed the instructions and did the patch test and had no reaction to it. Therefore, the following night I applied one layer, as the directions stated, and removed it after 5 minutes. I followed the after care instructions as well. It took approximately 3-4 days to see any peeling anywhere. The peeling only occurred on my chin and only lasted for 2 days max. I was contemplating on getting a higher TCA peel. But I figured I would hold off any try to double up the 12.5% peel first to give it an extra boost. I never actually got around to doing the second layer because my skin, specifically my jaw and chin, broke out! It was the worst breakout I have EVER experienced. I was really upset and REALLY embarrassed to leave my house! After of a 2.5 week wait period and the breakout continuing, I contacted a dermatologist. Let's just say it goes without saying my dermatologist recommended I discontinue use, which I have. I think for some this may be a great option, but I do not believe everyone can or should use this. To try and end this on a positive note, I was pleased that the peeling only lasted for 2 days... ****MUAC Comment: If a client has congested pores, the breakouts are a normal part of this process. It's called "purging" and can last several weeks. Once past the purging phase, the pores are clean and the skin will improve will each successive peel. We're sorry you didn't contact us about the breakouts... we could have walked you through that phase, so that you could continue lightening your acne scars. Thank you for posting. Wishing you all the best.****

You WILL peel!
I am new to peeling so I thought I would start with 12.5% TCA, My main concern is discoloration along the sides of my neck, which I thought was melasma but Dr. says it is sun damage. After following all directions regarding patch test, etc, I swabbed the solution on my neck. It did not feel too hot or stinging enough to fan myself. There was no frosting at all. I only did one layer and 4 minutes. Neutralized with the solution in the kit and waited...directly after neutralizing my skin felt smooth. I kept moisture in the form of Triple Antibiotic ointment and sunscreen in the mornings. 5 days: my skin was still smooth like paper, not soft like silk. And no peeling. I thought, I guess its peeling at the cellular level. Two days later my skin got that dry/papery texture and I began to peel in flakes. That took about 3 or 4 days to finish. I did not notice a huge change in the discoloration, so I waited another week and reapplied. Same. Lesson here is I need a higher strength, which I will do in the Fall when I can hide my leathery neck in scarves. Now, on to the FACE review: My 51 year old face is fairly average; I'm combo skin, medium complected. Here, I was just looking for pore size reduction and refreshed tone. I had applied the solution to just my forehead at the same time as the neck experiment, so I *kinda* knew what to expect there. I applied, waited 4 mins, applied 2nd layer, waited 4 mins. I only had true frosting on one little patch above my lip .Neutralized all and was a bit scared that the white frosting was still there after neutral and moisturizing! I just went to bed. In the morning, my skin looked and felt pretty normal. Sunscreen/moisture, sunscreen/moisture...next 4 days...peeling starts! Lots of flaky peels. The one little frosted area was "leathery" but peeled in one day! Skin under that spot was pink and new...and sensitive! Now I am on day 6 post application and I am peeling so much. It's noticeable but nobody at work has commented; they are too polite I guess but it really looks wretched. just so much loose skin hanging out on my face. I keep it glued down with moisturizer, but it still shows. Makeup makes it worse on me. SO: you may want to hide out from days about 3/4 to days 6/7. I haven't achieved what I was hoping for at this concentration so I will go up one level. Frosted areas peel a lot faster; and on me my oilier areas peeled quicker that the drier spots on my face. ****MUAC Comment: Hang in there, Lynn. As we note in our directions, you'll see best results when you do TCA in a series of 3 peels spaced two weeks apart. So, do the series of peels, as advised to get you on-your-way to your results. Please reach-out to our staff if you're uncertain as to what strength to get next. Many clients find that skipping the 15% and going with the 18% is a good move. With that, of course, will come much more visible peeling. Thank you for posting your experience with this product. Not as expected
I got the 12.5 TCA peel did 2 layers followed all the instructions kept skin hydrated, and all that happen was my skin got dry and no flaking at all. Very disappointed. ****MUAC Comment: We're sorry this product didn't perform as expected. Based on your description, you need a stronger TCA. We would recommend moving up to our 15% TCA Peel. Thank you for posting.****

TC12.5 was a light peel to me.
This is a light peel. I would recommend the 12.5 to someone that has never had a peel done before. I'd like to test out the 18% which I'd have to purchase, so I'll review the 18% next. Happy peeling all :)

This is a great starter peel for those who've never done a peel. After just a couple uses its worked wonders and I'm ready to upgrade to the next level.

I researched this product for quite a while and was inspired with the results I have seen on the web, but my results werent as great as I seen. My acne scars are really deep and dark and they havent changed nor have went nowhere. I might have needed a stronger peel. I'm a bit upset because that was my first impression to start with an 18% but I was afraid. Better safe than sorry though I feel like i wasted 30 bucks. Now I know better. After my 2nd treatment on thursday I'm thinking about buying a stronger peel next month. Just a bit afraid it might not work again. ****MUAC Comment: Hi Kani. Indeed, extremely deep, dark acne scars will need work with a stronger peel. But it's best to let your skin acclamate to the 12.5% TCA before using a peel that may be too strong. Layer the peel, per the directions brochure, up to 4 layers deep. If you see frosting, neutralize immediately and finish your peel. If you still aren't seeing desired results with the 12.5%, even with layering, then your scars have very dense tissue, and a stronger peel would be recommended. The office will be in-touch with you today or tomorrow. We offer samples of our peels and skin care so that you can test the strengths first. Thanks again for your feedback.****

Ehhh
I'm an AA female with hyperpigmentation from Acne scarring. I've been doing peels for a while so I thought I would step it up to the TCA. The 12.5 did not give me any peeling or flaking. I immediately bought the 15% and got better results. However, with having to layer it three times and waiting more than 10 minutes for any type of frosting, I bought the 18%. I have not used it yet though. Oh yeah the directions say 5minutes, but if you don't see any frosting slap another layer on. Frosting is the key to an effective peel.

Fantastic
This is a great peel as a first or second layer. I typically will do one or two layers of a jessners and then layer the 12.5% TCA and finish with 1 or two layers of 15% TCA with great results.

very disappointing
The 12.5% tca made no difference in my skin. there was no peeling at all. ****MUAC Comment: Hello Samantha, Thank you for your feedback. Indeed, this is a very light TCA peel and for many clients there is no visible peeling with a 1-layer peel at this strength. Before giving-up on the product, please read the instructions for layering. Even without visible peeling, this product is providing skin benefits, so we would urge you to continue using it. Or, if you used only the sample, move-up to a higher strength. Thank you again!****)

TCA peel 12.5%
This peel is great, it cleared my hyperpigmentation by at least two shades. I did three peels total with about a month in between each peel. It didnt take care of all my problem areas, but it made a huge difference. I think the hardest part for me is being patient and waiting for the skin to peel on it's own. Thanks MUAC!!!

This peel did not seem to work for me as I expected. After 4 days with no results I reapplied it again thinking I did not put on enough. I also used glycolic acid 10% I had to increase the effects. Its been over a week since the 2nd application and I have only a little bit of flaking off. Not what I would consider a deep peel. I did send you a question regarding this. I am in my 60s and caucasion. ***Thank you for your feedback, Lilith. Our skin care team will be reaching out to you.***

not useful for deep scarring
I have mixed African American and white skin and have issues with cystic acne. I currently take Spironlactone which helps reduce the number of cystic acne outbreaks but they still occur. I have very bad scarring from the acne and have been trying various products to lighten these scars. This peel causes the top layer of skin to peel and flake off over 3-7 days. I do not notice any change in the scarring as this peel only addresses the top layer of skin and it appears the scarring is at a deeper level than the peel can achieve. I have also tried doubling up on the application to boost the % but again it did not address the scarring. For those with superficial hyperpigmentation this peel may work but not for those with true scarring.

This was my first time using a chemical peel so, after researching, review reading, and viewing videos, I chose the 12.5 TCA peel. Unfortunately this peel produced no results for me other than making my face extremely red. I didn't have any peeling at all. I may have underestimated the durability of my mature skin and should have gone for a higher percentage strength.

Definitely lightened my stubborn acne scars considerably, but it broke me out so badly. The peeling process took about 2 wks, I'd love to do it again but the downtime and new acne makes me wonder if I should. Overall, I'd give it a shot since it's so inexpensive and easy to use!

12.5 tca peel
I used the 12.5 peel and I found it very gentle. If you are a first time user you might want to start off with the 12.5. I am going to try a higher one the next time I order from makeup artist choice. It was a very mild peel. My skin must be tougher and I need a higher percentage and then I would be a hundred percent satisfied. I was satisfied with the 12.5 also but I do feel like I need a much higher percentage but in all it was a good pill.

tca peel
I think the 12.5 TCA peel is great for a beginner that is a little afraid of a chemical peel. I I was afraid so I ordered 12.5 now that I have seen how that one works I want to bump it up - 24% cuz now I'm not afraid. I got a very little peel from the 12.5 so I think I need a stronger percentage peel. But I will say it was very gentle and we'll use it again but in a stronger dose

Good starter to TCA
I've been battling hyperpigmentation for a long time. Since I frequently breakout, I always get new marks. I read great things about tca and was hoping it would help. I ordered a sample size and was able to do 2 peels. With the first peel I did flake up and peel for 8 days. I did see some slight difference with my marks but the major difference was my pores. They are alot smaller. I just did peel number 2 yesterday. I havent started peeling yet hopefully soon and will have better results. I will be going up to the 18% for more drastic results.

Didn't do much for my skin
3 weeks ago I put one layer on my face and left for 5 min. Not sure how my face would react so watched carefully. I had been doing mendallic peels for 6 weeks and wanted to see if I would see a difference with tca peel. Nothing happened for me after 2 weeks so I did 2 layers of peel like they suggested and had a little flakiness between eyebrows but nothing else so it's almost been 2 weeks since I did that and now I will try 18%. I have a lot of brown sun spots on cheeks that have just popped up over last 2 years and am in my 40's. I used retinae for last year but spots getting bigger not better. Hopefully I will see something with 18%. I also use fade serum along with mendallic acid 2x day.

FIRST TCA
I've used and loved MUAC's Mandelic Acid 25% peel and the Fade Peel and liked them both very much. This was my first TCA so I purchased the lower percentage. Very light to no peeling and little change. I'm going to reapply two layers next and will update, but seems as though I should have gone straight to 18% or higher. I used the Fade Peel after ten days and I do see the hyperpigmentation settling out, so that's a good thing. I'll keep using the 12.5% on my decolletage until finished and will move up in strength after this next double layer application. Love MUAC and their products so I am still a satisfied customer!

Couldn't be happier
I had peelings in the past and I can say this is a 2.5 in strength from 1-5, just what I was looking for. I started with 1st layer waited 5 min, apply the 2nd layers and inmediatly after had the frosty in only half of my face so I only wash that half and waited the other 5 min for the other half, the burn sensation was the same tho. 40 hours after the peeling started, I can tell that the frosty area got darker while I was peeling the rest it look like a had a clear mask on, I took about 7 days for the whole process to finished. I can say than I'm highly satisfied with the results. Thank you MUAC for making the experience affordable.

I only got a few little flaky spots here and there I did plenty of research to be able to get this thing right. No damage done.***We terribly sorry 12.5% TCA didn't work as expected. However, it does prime your skin for more intensive TCA peels, so all has not been lost. We'd advise using it again before moving-up to a higher strength and layering it for your next effort.
