To become accustomed to your airbrush system, we recommend that you begin practicing by using water in the airbrush cup.
When you are ready to begn using makeup, only fill this cup approximately 1/3 full. It's plenty to airbrush an entire face.
Your airbrush is a dual action gun. This means that you will feel the air blowing from the brush when you turn it on, but there will be no makeup spraying from it until you
press-down on the trigger.
In order to dispense the makeup you must push-down on the trigger (top of the brush, in back of the cup) and slowly pull it back. The farther-back you pull the trigger, the wider and heavier the makeup will spray.
Practice with the trigger action to become proficient in different types of makeup application, i.e. everyday makeup wear, special event makeup, corrective makeup and tattoo cover-up, eye lining, blush applications, eye shadow applications. Spray in light layers for best coverage.
The dual action brush is the most versatile because it allows you to adjust your makeup flow easily while you are actually spraying-on the makeup.
To adjust the amout of air blowing through your airbrush, use the air-flow control on the front of your compressor.
A tip from Kathleen: If you are a professional artist in a time-sensitive makeup situation, carry a blow-dryer with you. If your makeup sprays don't dry quickly enough between layers, using cool air from your blow dryer will help to dry the makeup more quickly.
If you make a mistake and overspray an area, use our Goat Hair Blending brush to "buff-out" those areas. It's a quick and easy fix.
ALWAYS CLEAN YOUR AIRBRUSH BEFORE PUTTING IT AWAY.
