The first topical retinoids for skin care were introduced in the 1970s. Since that time, they have been proven to be effective remedies for a number of skin care issues.
Why Use Retinol?
Retinol is pure Vitamin A that converts to retinoic acid within the skin and scientifically proven to produce healthy, plump skin cells.
Because Retinol's molecular structure is small enough to penetrate the outer layers of the epidermis, it can repair deeper layers within the skin.
Collagen and elastin are positively impacted by the benefits of Retinol. Retinol stimulates collagen production. Retinol helps to rebuild and repair elastin fibers.
Retinol accelerates cell turnover, encouraging dead skin cells to naturally exfoliate more quickly, thus revealing healthy, fresh cells.
Retinol is excellent in aiding the repair of sun-damaged skin.
Retinol provides overall skin revitalization.
Retinol minimizes the appearance of large pores.
Retinol is helpful in the treatment of mild to severe acne, and in acne scarring.
Synthetic forms of Vitamin A are well-known as Retin-A® and Tretinoin, however both are much more irritating than pure, natural Retinol.
Retinol, used as directed, results in smooth skin, acne control, refined pores, revitalized texture and tone, fewer lines/wrinkles, and visible improvement of sun damaged skin.
Boost your TCA peels: You can boost your TCA peels by adding .50 Retinol as a second layer, giving you all the benefits listed and making your TCA peels more effective by adding Vitamin A into the equation. You'll find this an exceptional companion-product. The 4 ml sample size is economical and enough product to give you that second layer of "awesome." Follow your peel direction-brochure for layering and use the retinol just as you would if you were adding a second layer of acid. Not recommended for sensitive skin.

If desired... you may use our BellEvolve .50 Retinol Lotion in conjunction with a non-acid, non retinoid moisturizer. You would apply your retinol first... allow it to absorb into the skin completely... then layer moisturizer on top.
Should signs of over drying, redness, flaking or general irritation develop, discontinue use for two weeks. When you begin using the product again, use it only twice a week to avoid future irritation.
ALWAYS use an SPF 30+ when using acids and/or retinoids... it's always a "best practice" to wear an SPF 30+ with *any* skin care regimen.
