A derivative of vitamin A, this powerful skincare staple helps remedy a number of issues that come with age and sun damage.
Here are just a few benefits to adding it to your skincare regime:
The molecules within retinol penetrate deep into the epidermis while neutralizing free radicals in the skin. This process increases the production of collagen and boosts the skin’s natural elasticity. It also helps prevent bacteria and acne by keeping the pores unclogged. This is due to the increase in cell turnover.
Our Retinol Serum is formulated in a special delivery system that ensures the stabilization of the molecule without oxidation. Most creams and lotions don't work! This is because levels of Retinol are too low in addition to being formulated in cheap, ineffective delivery systems. Our serum is obtained at 12,000 psi (pounds per square inch) under micro-fluidizing conditions.
Our serum will absorb deeply into your skin, penetrating into the prickle layer. See below for the four layers of the skin:
1 - Horny layer (stratum corneum)
2 - Clear layer (stratum lucidum)
3 - Granular layer (stratum granulosum)
4 - Prickle-cell layer (stratum spinosum)
5 - Basal layer (stratum basale) Pure vitamin A serum is necessary for the growth, maintenance, and function of the skin, and also prevents premature aging.
If you’re new to trying this product on your face, we recommend starting with the .30 Retinol Serum to ease in. You’ll notice a smooth and easy application as it spreads easily and sinks into the skin nicely. Some prefer to use retinol at night time since it can cause extra sensitivity in the sun.
Over a period of about 3-6 weeks, clients will notice faded skin spots... reduction in wrinkles and fine lines... fewer breakouts... improved hydration, and a much more improved complexion. Remember, as with any new skincare product or regime, we always recommend giving up to eight weeks to realize the full benefits of your products. Yes, many products will begin to work sooner and show noticeable results before the eight-week mark.
Some side effects can occur for some people, including itching, redness, and some irritation. The above conditions usually improve in a short matter of time with continued use. Again, be careful spending too much time in the sun when using retinol, and always apply sunscreen of SPF 30 at least.
Our Retinol is an FDA lab formulated and certified. Sensitive skin types should begin with a sample, patch test (behind the ear), and only twice weekly use until the skin adjusts.
Shelf Life: 6-9 months when stored in a cool, dry place.
