You should always begin a peeling program by patch testing the skin to make sure you will have no sensitivities to the recipe selected.
Begin with the 20% recipe first, then adjust up or down in percentage once you have finished your patch test. This peel, non buffered at 20%, will be as strong as 40% buffered products offered online.
The kit will allow you to mix a recipe unique to your skin type....make weaker or stronger.....a light exfoliator or a deeper peeling product.....whatever you personally need. Multiple products not needed. This is a wonderfully versatile product.
Post Peel: Sunscreen is needed after any peeling treatment with an SPF Factor of 30 or higher.
Issues with darker skin tones:: If you have darker skin tones, strong glycolic acid may cause uneven lightening, in patches, on the skin and should not be used in high concentrations. Please refer to our 30% glycolic kit, or our 40% lactic acid kit.
Cautions:
Never use this peel at full strength.
Always begin at the lowest strength and patch-test your skin before using on the entire facial area.
